$500 Top Prize lures entriesin Main Street/Rotary contest
With hundreds of dollars in cash prizes, the entries for the Rotary Club’s “CENTENNIAL CALENDAR” are beginning to pour in, according to Michelle Vance, executive director of Main Street Tehachapi.
All entries will be considered, professional or amateur regardless of age, providing they are of local subject and color 8x10s and if digital, include a copy on CD. Entrants should put their name and contact information on the back of the photo and each entry must be accompanied by the $25 entry fee. First place is $500 cash with $300 for second place and $200 for third. All prize entries and runners-up will be featured in the 2009 Centennial Calendar being produced by the Rotary Club.
Photos are being accepted at City Hall through September 26 and must be of Tehachapi Valley. Photos will not be returned.
Entry forms are available at City Hall, the LOOP offices at 202 South Green St., Main Street offices at 105 East “E” St., and at local art galleries.

1st Annual Trunk-or-Treat event in Downtown Tehachapi Main Street Tehachapi paired up with the Tehachapi Police Department and the Recreation & Parks District for the 1st Annual Trunk-or-Treat event in Historic Downtown Tehachapi.
We offered the perfect opportunity to participate in a SAFE Halloween event. The event took place on October 31st on Green Street.
Our Downtown business entertained you for a frightfully good time.

The 10th Annual Star Light Ball will take place on Saturday November 1, 2008. This event brought to you by Main Street Tehachapi, is a steller night for the entire community. The Star Light Ball is an entertaining evening that includes dinner, dancing, gambeling, and live musical entertainment.
Proceeds benefit MAin Street, Tehachapi a 501(C)(3) Non-profit Organization

Main Street Promotes Downtown
Holiday Spirit
Main Street Tehachapi is pleased to announce that it is, once again, sponsoring the downtown holiday event. We had an Airplane display, coco booth, bounce house, pictures with Santa, and free popcorn.
Downtown business owners were encouraged to “go all out” in creating beautiful displays.

Main Street, Tehachapi is excited to announce another entertaining evening. Our Downtown Businesses are hosting a Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Tasting Celebration on Thursday, February 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. This event will give you an opportunity to cuddle up to your sweetheart (or good friends!) and do something different for the most romantic day of the year. You and your sweetheart or loved ones will taste a variety of fine wines and chocolates paired together to bring out the best in each other, just like any other great relationship.
That evening you will receive 8 tasting tickets and a map of the participating Downtown businesses at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person in advance and $25 on day of the event. is held every Thursday from 4-7 PM in Railroad Park just a block east of the bakery.
It runs June-August each year. Fresh produce, arts and crafts, live music, cool drinks and great food!

26 Downtown Businesses will host our 1st Annual Summer Wine Walk in Historic Downtown Tehachapi.
Musicians will be places through out downtown to entertain you while you stroll with your friends and loved ones. We will have an after party with a DJ after the event until 11:30 PM Free of charge.

$20 each or $25 day of the event.
